- Farms prevent us from moving up in the world.
Building a strong financial footing for our country now will protect us on an international scale and will eventually provide flourishing lives for generations to come. You just have to think ahead. Farms cannot give us the footing we need to better the lives of future generations, but only better lives for us right now. Sooner or later, we will have to move on.
- Trading is extremely risky.
Trading to get goods is a bad way to get what we need. For instance, just placing an order could take months, depending on where a country is. Getting the orders will take longer still. If they feel compelled, the country could simply cut us off, especially in a time of conflict, where they could use these items we need against us. If we provide our own goods for ourselves, we don't need to rely on other countries for simple necessities.
- Once America builds its economy, people's lives can thrive.
Individual factory foremen would be responsible for their actions. If those actions are unlawful, they will be punished. Industry, in general, is not bad, it just depends on the individuals in charge of factories. Times may be tough for a while, but in the end America will come out on top and provide all of the needs for the people so they can be able to live truly free lives with their own land and plenty to have.

i agree with hamilton because juging it by todays society it fits us better because it helped us get higher and be more advanced than other countries causing us to become higher so the smaller coutrys wont sart wars with us.
Jefferson had a great view of America. If we were to follow his vision we would truely have been free. We wouldn't have any strings attached to anyone else.
We would be completely free and would still be able to eventually pay off our debt.
I aree with Jefferson's view on the free nation thing because first of all, it would help our environment. We could also trade with other countries to get things like weapons and other things like that. I think it would be the best thing for our country.

i agree with hamilton because when you look at our society today and then compare it with hamilton's vision you can see that we have a lot of what he wanted and yet we are still free.
I agree with Hamilton. You can not build a bigger or stronger America with only farms. You need to be able to trade with other countries and build a big reputation. This will alow you to get better suppliesfor wars and better food and stuff like that. If you build many factories, you can pay the workers alot less, which helps bring in more money. We should adopt Hamilton's America!!
I agree. With factories, you can really get the economy strong and running. Also, one bad season in farming can kill thousands of americans.
