The proposition for this current debate is that the Confederate States of America was doomed to fail. They had little, if any, chance to actually succeed in defeating the Union army in a war.
What do you think? Did Robert E. Lee and the Confederates have a chance to win and actually begin a new American nation? Or, was it all just a lost cause from the very beginning?
We will begin this debate on Wednesday, April 30th with the opening statements.
